Position Title - Learning and Development Co-ordinator

Type of Role - Volunteer

Organization - Kurilpa Scouts, Yeronga

Time expectation - 1 hour per week plus Attendance at monthly committee meeting (1-2 hours)

Other - Blue Card is required

Position Summary

Scouting is dedicated to engaging and inspiring young people aged 5-25, helping them develop confidence, resilience, and leadership skills. The Kurilpa Scouts Learning and Development Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting this work through ensuring we have sufficient support for Scouts (Volunteer) Leaders.

Kurilpa Scouts is looking for a Learning and Development Co-ordinator to support tracking of Scout Leaders (approximately 20 people) training and development needs, that Scouts Queensland provides.

We are looking for a person who can help assist our amazing Scouts Leaders to develop a schedule for activities throughout the term and to help generate new experiences for our youth members.

Key Responsibilities

Learning and Development Administration

Scouts Queensland is focused on building and supporting Scouts Leaders who can compliantly and consistently develop Scouts activities. To do this, a structured training and development program must be appropriate for all levels of Scout Leaders.

The Learning and Development Co-ordinator will familiarise themselves with the Scouts Queensland prescribed program and work with Scouts Leaders to schedule and conduct appropriate training and record with Scouts Queensland.

The Learning and Development Co-ordinator will develop a schedule with reminder dates of when next level of training is required.

**Key Skills & Experience **

We are looking for an organised person who is able to consistently commit to 1 hour per week on learning and development activities.

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

Strong written and verbal skills and who enjoys building relationships either face to face, or online.

Willingness to learn Scouts Queensland Learning and Development system and availability of courses / training.

Preferably experience in Learning and Development / HR Administration.

A keen interest in youth development and new ways of learning.

This role can be completed remotely, no travel is required.
