Vets for Compassion is seeking an experienced and passionate Events & Fundraising Team Leader to drive our signature annual event - "A Night of Compassion" - and help us grow our fundraising impact year-round.

Last year’s event attracted over 200 guests and raised more than $100,000 to support our vital animal rescue and welfare programs. This year, we’re aiming even higher, and we need a skilled leader to make it happen.

You’ll take the lead in planning and executing every aspect of A Night of Compassion, from securing sponsors, sourcing venues, catering, entertainment and auction items (including large-ticket donations), to coordinating volunteers and ensuring flawless delivery on the night.

We’re also looking to introduce smaller fundraising events throughout the year, giving you the opportunity to bring new ideas and energy to our event calendar.

About You:

Extensive experience managing large-scale fundraising events

Proven success in sponsorship, donor engagement, and ticket sales

Strong network and ability to leverage relationships for a good cause

Skilled in leading volunteer teams and event logistics

Detail-oriented with a talent for smooth, professional execution

Passionate about animal welfare and creating meaningful community impact

Key responsibilities:

Lead and support volunteers during event setup, execution, and wrap-up. Ensure all volunteers understand their roles and responsibilities. Act as the main point of contact between event organisers and volunteers. Troubleshoot issues and ensure a smooth event experience for all participants. Uphold safety and compliance standards throughout the event. Assist in post-event reporting and volunteer appreciation efforts. Experience in event management or volunteer leadership (preferred but not required).

You’ll be supported by our experienced full-time Fundraising Manager and a dedicated team of volunteers. This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned events professional looking to use their skills for good - helping to save lives and inspire compassion.
