Church Grounds is seeking a Website Assistant to help maintain and improve our WordPress website, hosted on AWS Lightsail. This role is perfect for someone who wants to contribute to a Work Integration Social Enterprise (WISE) and community-focused organisation where your skills will make a real impact.

You’ll be part of a team that’s creating digital tools and content to support our online presence — all from a creative and welcoming space.

Key Responsibilities *Update and manage content on our WordPress site (built with Elementor)

*Troubleshoot technical issues and manage plugin/theme updates

*Assist with hosting and server configuration on AWS Lightsail

*Optimize website performance, backups, and security settings

*Collaborate with our team to ensure the website reflects current programs and events

Skills and Experience We’re looking for someone who:

*Has experience working with WordPress (Elementor is a plus)

*Must have strong knowledge of website hosting, server environments, and tools like AWS Lightsail

*Is comfortable using or learning server-side tools like SSH and php.ini configuration

*Is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and a clear communicator

*Aligns with the values and community mission of Church Grounds

Requirements *Must be available to volunteer a minimum of 6 hours per week in the office (Tempe, NSW)

*Strong technical background in web hosting/server management

*Interest in supporting a community-focused organisation

*Suitable for students, professionals, or retirees with relevant skills
