Art and Craft Facilitators

Vinnies Connect

Jim da Silva Farm is a disability accommodation and community inclusion initiative of St Vincent de Paul Society of NSW. Jim da Silva Farm, based in Mundamia NSW, is a space where people can connect, learn, participate in activities and workshops, and access a wide range of supports. Our work aims to provide opportunities for community inclusion and support for those who need it. Creative skill development and engagement with others are key elements to the experience that we aspire to provide. We are seeking volunteers with artistic skills to conduct classes in their preferred area of expertise, be it painting, drawing, printmaking, textiles, leatherwork, weaving etc.

Our volunteers are expected to support the establishment of a lively, cooperative and inspiring atmosphere in the art space. Part of the role is ensuring efficient and effective use of art resources and supporting the recycling of used materials as appropriate.

Our volunteers are expected to have a passion for and some experience in imparting skills in art or craft. Good people skills, patience, compassion, ability to manage conflict, and a warm, friendly personality are also desirable characteristics.
