Speak Greek? Volunteer in Aged Care Social Support!

Pathways Community Care

Do you speak Greek and have a heart for the elderly? A Greek speaking male is needed to visit a gentleman who lives in aged care in the North Parramatta area. You could chat, listen to music together, share your stories. This is such a rewarding way to volunteer. You could make such a difference to life for this gentleman just by dropping in for a chat on a regular basis. The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme seeks to improve the quality of life of residents in Aged Care Homes by providing companionship for those who are socially isolated or lonely. Our volunteers find this experience very rewarding and have the opportunity to build friendships with residents and other volunteers at our social events. This role requires a minimum of 1 hour per fortnight. Empathy for the elderly is essential as well as a desire to create a consistent friendship with the person in the aged care home. No care tasks are required.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
