We work with the schools and students who most need support. We connect volunteers who want to make a difference.
· We aim to equip young people with the skills they need to succeed. · We are a non-digital friendly organisation – we can post or call you. The EdConnect Australia story began more than 25 years ago with four volunteers in one Perth school. Now we are a national organisation with around 1,500 volunteers in 250 schools.
About this Opportunity Make a real difference to young lives! Students love having a mentor. You can help them stay on track with their learning with one hour of your time. It’s a chance to build positive relationships and see how you can impact a student’s confidence and self-esteem. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Spend time with a student during school hours in a supportive environment.
- Help a student by learning about each other and sharing your life experience.
- Offer guidance, encouragement, and a positive outlook to help a student reach their potential.
Why This Matters:
- Make a Difference: When students feel supported, they are more likely to engage in their learning and feel positive about their education.
- Support your local school: join their efforts to ensure that no child falls behind in school.
The best bit? When students greet you with big smiles! They love being matched with a mentor.
