Activity Assistant Volunteer Memory Lane Cafe - Wilton NSW

Dementia Australia is the national peak body for people of all ages living with all forms of dementia, their families and carers. We provide advocacy, support services, education and information.
We’re seeking friendly, upbeat volunteers to help brighten the days of our clients, people who are independent and actively engaged in our semi-supported social programs. If you enjoy sharing conversation, companionship, and laughter, this is a wonderful opportunity to give back and be part of something special. What you might do: • Join in group activities and social experiences • Offer gentle one-on-one support under staff guidance • Help at Memory Lane Café sessions by welcoming guests, assisting with sign-in, making tea and coffee, and setting up the space The Memory Lane Café offers a relaxed, dementia-friendly environment where people can gather and connect. Each café reflects the local community, some feature music, dancing, or guest speakers, while others simply provide a quiet, comfortable space to enjoy a cuppa and conversation. We’d love to hear from you if you: • Have a warm, welcoming approach and a genuine interest in others • Enjoy meeting new people and creating a friendly, inclusive atmosphere • Are happy to help with practical tasks such as set-up and guest support • Have experience supporting someone living with dementia (desirable but not essential) Each café session typically runs for 90 minutes to two hours Join us in helping create moments of joy, connection, and community, one cuppa at a time.

- undergo an interview
