Event Volunteers - Memory Walk & Jog for Dementia Australia - Cronulla NSW
This year's Cronulla event will be held at Don Lucas Reserve on Sunday, March 10.
We need volunteers on the day from 7 a.m. to approximately midday in various roles.
A family-friendly, fun-filled morning requires no special skills, experience, or training – just your presence and enthusiasm. Some tasks may include directing and encouraging participants around the course, selling merchandise, and handing out participants' packs. There is even a role for the keen bike riders out there!
We will provide a briefing in the morning of the event so you can learn all about the morning ahead and the tasks assigned to you and meet your fellow volunteers and the Memory Walk & Jog event team members for the day.
Previous volunteers have described their experience as “extremely enjoyable”, and their “spirits were lifted by being in the company of like-minded people”. I guess that is why we have many volunteers nationwide returning each year!
Supporting Dementia Australia and the Memory Walk will help raise awareness and funding for research and development in dementia. If this sounds like fun, we would love to hear from you. Register your expression of interest now, and the volunteer coordination team will get you started. For more information, visit our Memory Walk & Jog website. We encourage you to volunteer and invite your family, friends, and colleagues to join you.
Volunteers are required to be over 16 years of age. Volunteers aged 12 – 15 are welcome to volunteer if accompanied by a guardian.
