At Linked Community Services, our purpose is to provide our clients with a unique and positive experience throughout their journey with us. We are dedicated to contributing to the social, cultural, and overall wellbeing of our community. We offer reliable and safe transportation services to individuals in need, assisting them with everyday tasks such as shopping, visiting the library, attending hairdresser appointments, and engaging in social outings like lunches, movies, and local community events.

Our mission is ‘We are here to take you there’. Our organisation is very stable, and we are in growth mode which is linked to our Vision, Purpose, and Values. We have an amazing team that is focused on maximising our sustainability whilst minimising our risk. Our Strategy Plan is backed by our board where we work cohesively together focusing on positive outcomes. In the past 4 years, we have organically grown, and through acquisition we now dominate the corridor of the mid-north coast, almost doubling the size of our business. Our organisation comprises a team of dedicated Board of Directors, over 50 employees, over 100 volunteers and now 75 fleet vehicles that service our community.

At Linked Community Services, remaining dynamic to our client’s needs into the future ensures that we can continue to help them live as independently as possible. As their needs change, our services will too. As we want to further develop and grow, we have plans for an extended range of community services beyond transport. The one thing that won’t change is our focus on providing safe, reliable, and most importantly, friendly service to our clients. Therefore, we are looking for a committed Director to join our Board which is part of our succession plan.

ABOUT THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity exists to join the Linked Community Services Board of Directors. You will play a key role and contribute to its leadership, governance and strategic direction as we continue to grow.

We are looking for community-minded individuals wanting to make a positive impact. Aligned with our Strategy and current Board matrix, we are seeking people with skills and experience in aged care, child care and domestic violence sectors. Complimentary experience in legal or marketing fields would be also beneficial.

MEETING AND BOARD OBLIGATIONS:

• You must have the passion to want to help our community.
• Initial 1 year term, with the option of re-appointment.
• Attend Board meetings, ideally in person or virtually.
• Attend Annual General Meetings, usually in October.
• Follow our Board Charter bringing your skillsets to help us enhance our services.
• Engage in our organisation through team events and our clients throughout our region.
