Secretary
Jindalee Scout GroupThe Secretary’s key duties are to contribute to monthly Group Committee meetings with agendas and minutes, to support membership applications and records, to develop and maintain induction packs and other communications to families, supporters and to contribute to the Group Strategic Plan.
Providing administrative support to the Chairman and Group Leader will have a massively positive impact on the smooth running of the Group and the opportunities open to our Youth Members.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with enthusiasm, organisational skills and a positive attitude!
No previous experience of Scouting is needed. Membership of Scouts QLD and training are expected and costs are covered within the role. A Blue Card is required, restricted persons are not eligible for any positions within Scouting.
Scouting is run on a fully-inclusive Youth-led, Adult-supporting principle. The Secretary is a key role in supporting the learning experiences and ambitions of all Group members.
We have a great mix of boys and girls in our Group, and a range of interests and abilities. Unlike other organisations, Scouting encourages ALL members to explore new experiences and try out leadership roles, to direct their own path through the skills and learnings within the program and to challenge their own personal boundaries in a safe environment.
There are also fantastic opportunities for adults to learn new skills in adventurous activities and to benefit from personal development training and growth.
