The Wollongong West Street Centre is a small, incorporated. not for profit counselling service for children, young people and women who have experienced Childhood Sexual Assault. We also provide group programs and a community space for women affected by childhood sexual violence. We come from a social justice and feminist orientation in service delivery to the most vulnerable in our community. We are seeking interest from likeminded people who wish to contribute to this Centre by joining our management committee. The committee does require some specific commitments from our management members, these responsibilities are outlines in the Position Description attached to this advertisement. We are particularly interested in people who have the following skillsets: • Skills and experience in submission writing with a successful track record in the not-for-profit context. • Skills and experience in communications, media and public relations. • Skills and experience with a focus on the law in relation to incorporated not for profit entities as well as the law and sexual violence.
