HikeWest seeks expressions of Interest (EOI) or nominations for election to the position of President of our 7-member Board. Your EOI should be submitted a.s.a.p. but no later than 6th October 2023 in advance of elections to be held at the Annual General Meeting. The successful candidate will:

• provide principal leadership and chairmanship of the Board, and ensure good governance.
• take primary responsibility for ensuring HikeWest sets and meets effective strategic goals and objectives.
• be able to maintain team enthusiasm and support among Board members and our Executive Officer for our mission of promoting & fostering bushwalking / hiking in WA and our vision of ‘Better bushwalking for Western Australia’.
• serve as official spokesperson for HikeWest when appropriate and engage with stakeholders and potential sponsors/partners to enhance opportunities for funding and other support (in liaision with EO).
