Conservation Project Officer
Duties
- Preparation of submissions, appeals, reports, letters and other communications and documents as directed.
- Liaison with relevant WSWA members, others community groups, government agencies and industry on matters relevant to the work of the Conservation Subcommittee, as directed.
- Co-ordinate the implementation of special projects as directed
- Assistance in other activities of the Conservation Subcommittee as directed
Selection Criteria • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline • Demonstrated report writing skills • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills • An understanding of State and Federal legislation associated with vegetation and flora conservation • Knowledge of the use of Florabase, NatureMap and BIO • Conversant with the concepts of TECs and PECs • Demonstrated ability to give presentations using PowerPoint or equivalent software • Demonstrated ability to work in teams and coordinate projects • Demonstrated skills in setting up and managing Zoom presentations • Demonstrated computer skills in use of the Microsoft Office suite
