We’re looking for a local community member to join our Volunteer Board of Governance as Secretary – someone with a strong sense of social justice, who’s ready to use their knowledge and strengths to make a real impact.

Our Board meets monthly (third Thursday at 1pm) and works closely with managers and hands-on volunteers across our three busy centres, including Neighbourhood Centres and Out of School Hours Care.

We support people doing it tough – food assistance needs have risen 400% due to the cost-of-living and rental crisis. Our centres also run vital programs for children and community groups.

As Secretary, you’ll:

Attend and actively contribute to monthly Board meetings

Support financial oversight, including budgets and expenditure

*Be a spokesperson when required

*Join or lead sub-committees

*Help guide decisions that benefit the community

This is an ongoing volunteer role suited to someone ready to step up and make a difference.
