The Organisation: Cure Cancer is dedicated entirely to funding early career cancer researchers. We identify, assess and fund the research that we believe has the best possible chance of finding a cure. Most importantly, we fund research for ALL cancers. One Australian dies every 12 minutes from Cancer. We can change this, but only through research. Our vision is to make this the last generation to die from cancer. We’ve come a long way, raising $66.2m and funding over 500 research grants to date. We won’t stop until we eliminate cancer for good.

The Role: This part-time, flexible role is ideal for a student or flexible worker and someone looking to make an everyday impact on the future of cancer research.

The Marketing Co-ordinator’s day to day tasks will focus on supporting the marketing and digital team with activities for across the marketing team including social media, website content updates, EDMs and maintaining planning documents for the Cure Cancer brand and Marketing team.

Key Responsibilities: The Marketing & Digital Co-ordinator is a business support role, providing support to the marketing and the broader team as required, to ensure efficient operations. The role provides support across the following areas:

  • Administration tasks for key campaigns and planning templates.
  • Emails to generate new leads and to key suppliers
  • Updating presentations and documents
  • Copywriting and creative for social media
  • Updating creative assets and copy for the website
  • Email lists and email outreach
  • Competitor and market research
  • Administration tasks and reporting
  • Ad hoc tasks as required

Skills & Experience: Essential

  • Interest in marketing or digital content
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well under limited supervision
  • A proven eye for detail
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Ability to follow a clear brief of instruction

Desired, but not essential:

  • Studying for Marketing or digital qualification
  • Some experience with design packages e.g. Canvar, in design or Photoshop
  • Experience with website content management systems
  • Experience with PowerPoint

Hours

  • 1-3 days a week, flexible hours available.
