The General Board Member will support the vision, values and objectives of the charity and work closely with other committee members to support the overall direction, effectiveness and accountability of the charity.

We are particularly interested with people who have skills in: Legal Marketing *Not For Profit experience

About Us

Little Things for Tiny Tots distributes new and pre-loved essential baby items to WA families in need. We provide a box of “little things” to assist families to care for their newborn with items such as clothing, blankets, nappies, wipes, toys and books. Our volunteers collect and package donations into New Baby Boxes which are distributed via existing support services and government agencies.

Responsibilities include:

The role requires approximately 1-2 hours a week in the form of: responding regularly to emails; attending bi-monthly online committee meetings (evenings); actioning any tasks identified in meetings;· attending in-person AGM and annual strategy session; if required, leading or working on a specific project / subcommittee; working with the other committee members to ensuring effective governance; adhering to all legislation and compliance requirements; and being involved in the strategic planning and growth of the charity.

About You

Genuine passion and interest in the not-for-profit sector and Little Things for Tiny Tots. Able to act with reasonable care and diligence, and handle information with confidentiality. Able to work collaboratively. Strong organisational skills. Ability to work with basic technology, cloud based services and online platforms. Relevant tertiary qualification or industry experience. Strong communication skills (written and oral) and highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate, liaise and resolve problems. Experience in Legal, Marketing, Fundraising or Not For Profit experience is highly desirable. *Based in Perth, WA

Time Commitment We are looking for people who can commit to a minimum 12 month term and who have adequate time (8-10 hrs per month) to dedicate to this role.
