Start your adventure right now by volunteering to be a: Section leaders - coordinate the delivery of the Scout's youth program to one of 3 aged based sections

Joeys 5 - 7 "... focus is on fun, discovery and friendship
Cubs 8 - 10 ... action, adrenalin, adventure
Scouts 11 - 14 ... outdoor skills, leadership & youth led adventures

We are looking for people with patience and kindness to help grow a strong, supportive group that is 100 % run by volunteers.

These roles are supported by a strong Group Executive Committee and a team of Assistant Leaders and proactive parent volunteers.

Training

Scouts is a Registered Training Organisation. Access Australian qualifications in leadership, business and recreation including: Certificate I-III in Business, Certificate IV and Diploma in Leadership and Management and Certificate II-IV in Outdoor Recreation

Time required

Section leaders will help plan and deliver youth program activities on a weekly basis – Joeys Sundays 4.00pm to 5.00pm, Cubs Wednesdays 6.00 to 7.30pm, Scouts Tuesdays 6.30 to 8.30pm and be available to participate in regular weekend activities. As well as 2 monthly leader meetings.

Best if volunteers are organised. The Scout method leverages skills the volunteers already have with the Scout training and it makes a rich experience for the youth as all our adult volunteers bring their own experience and skills.
