  • following safety guidelines and using protective equipment when handling cleaning supplies or interacting with the chickens; and
  • communicating any issues or concerns regarding the chickens' welfare or the coop's maintenance to the house manager.

Requirements:

  • genuine interest in working with animals and basic knowledge of animal care and welfare;
  • ability to work independently and follow instructions carefully;
  • ability to perform tasks that may require bending, lifting, and light manual labour;
  • reliability and punctuality in fulfilling assigned duties;
  • good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with staff members;
  • ability to maintain the privacy of our residents and their families/carer groups;
  • WA C class driver’s licence;
  • passport or driver’s licence (identity verification only);

Hours: Mary Chester House is open between 9am – 4pm, Monday to Friday.
