Appointed Board Director (Finance/Accounting)

An exciting opportunity has become available for a person with previous Board experience and strong skills in Finance/Accounting to join the governing Board of Gymnastics WA.

Gymnastics WA provides the opportunity for anyone interested in fun, fundamental movement, fitness and friendships to participate in gymnastic programs, competitions, development programs and activities which are accessible to all, no matter their experience, skill, age or ability level. Pathways are also provided for individuals who strive for intrastate, state, or the ultimate, national selection representing Australia at the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, World Championships and other international events.

Gymnastics WA’s Strategic Plan is aligned with the Gymnastics in Australia Strategic Plan.

Expressions of interest (EOI) are being sought from suitable applicants who have a high level of understanding and interpretation of finance. This person will also have significant experience in financial operations, investment experience, financial management and oversight of medium to large organisations. CA or CPA qualification is highly desirable.

Board meetings are held on the last Thursday of the month from January through to November commencing at 6:00pm. The Board may convene additional meetings if necessary. Meetings are held in the Gymnastics WA Boardroom at the State Gymnastics Centre, 99 Loftus St, Leederville WA 6007.

As part of your application, you will need to attach the completed EOI form (available through our website) and your curriculum vitae. A submission for an EOI conveys consent for the application to be provided to a selection panel for their consideration.
