At Activate Mental Health (“AMH”), we are improving well-being and raising awareness of mental health issues by running fun social events such as walks, board game nights and book clubs. We have been in the game for over 7 years thanks to our very experienced and diversified team. We are helping our community while having fun, how good is that? Do you want to be part of it? ==== About the role ====

Join our leadership team that is steering the organisation! We are a small organisation that runs on a lean budget supported by our legendary sponsors and we are now on our way to become a registered charity in 2024!

As the role title is self spoken, you will be asked to raise funds! But don’t worry, no pressure. As we are currently sustainable at a financial level, there is no target in this role to earn a certain amount of income! Any money you will raise will help us achieving great things, such as:

Venue hire Board games Art supplies Training and development for our volunteers.

These items will help our volunteers to provide more frequent and diverse activities to our 5,000+ members.

On top of that, we are hoping you will make new connections with businesses and any other parties which will be able to support us once we become an established charity.

As part of this role, we are not aiming to host fundraising events, as we don’t have the resources yet to be able to do such a venture. We are looking for small initiatives that can raise reasonably practical amounts with minimal resources utilised in the process.

  • Strong ability to network with professionals, both in-person and online through websites such as LinkedIn.
  • Exceptional promotional and communication skills to advertise Activate Mental Health’s mission and work.
  • An ability to spot new fundraising opportunities for the organisation
  • An ability to plan fundraising initiatives to help the organisation meet financial goals.
  • An ability to prepare branded documents that will assist with our fundraising efforts.
  • Ensure major contributors to our organisation are satisfied and kept in the loop.

==== Time commitment ====

3 hours per month, plus commitment to attend our 6-weekly leadership team meetings (2 hours). Not a big deal but we need a minimum of commitment :)
