Greyhound Adoption Concierge Volunteers provide vital support at the time of adoption by engaging with potential adoptees and visitors.

Volunteers also provide information about GAP, including how to adopt or get involved in volunteering. Greyhound Adoption Concierge Volunteers are the very important public face of GAP, promoting awareness of our program, providing adoption support, and helping to educate others about this beautiful breed.

Requirements

• Volunteers must be comfortable in handling dogs (can be up to 40kg) with • Volunteers are required to attend GAP Tullamarine on a scheduled Saturday to assist with adoptions. • Volunteers are required to engage with potential adoptees. • Volunteers may occasionally assist with preparing a dog for a meet and greet by washing or grooming the dog if required. • various energy levels (including some very excited greyhounds!) • Previous experience in handling dogs is beneficial, but not essential as a detailed induction and on-the-job training will be provided. • A passion and commitment to animal welfare and greyhounds as pets is essential.

Please note: We require volunteers to be at least 18 years old. If you are under 18, please have a parent/guardian complete the application form and attend the induction session with you.
