Event Volunteers - 2023 MACA Cancer 200 Ride for Research

Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research

Back for 2023, this will be the 12th MACA Cancer 200 Ride for Research with a record number of riders raising money for research into stopping cancer once and for all. The important funds raised by this charity event stay here in Western Australia and are used by the Perkins Institute to find the answers needed to cure all cancers.

Unlike other events this is not a race but an emotional challenge for riders both physically and mentally to complete the 200km distance over 2 days. Some riders complete the event to support a lost loved one, someone going through cancer or just to help get rid of cancer as it affects us all in some way.

It takes a huge team of volunteers to put on a charity event this large, so we need your help to make it happen.

The ride will start in Perth at Optus Stadium on Saturday the 14th of October, and they will ride the 100km to Mandurah where these amazing riders camp overnight. On Sunday the 15th of October the riders will get up and do it all again riding the 100km back to Optus Stadium where they finish their amazing journey.

Also, truckloads of thank yous from all the riders and their families for supporting them on their journey. Thank you, certificate sent out post event and any hours for courses can be signed off.
