President - Sunshine Coast Netball Association

Sunshine Coast Netball Association

Sunshine Coast Netball Association (SCNA) is affiliated with Netball Queensland and a part of the Suncoast Region, which also includes Caloundra, Caboolture, Coolum, Gympie, Maleny, Nambour and Noosa. We are a not-for-profit organisation committed to transforming lives through netball. We are based at Maroochydore Multisports Complex – a joint initiative of the Queensland Government and the Maroochy Shire Council.

Our Junior Competition sees approximately 2000 players taking the courts every Saturday, representing our 13 affiliated clubs. We run Ladies Fixtures and Fast 5 leagues. Our NetSetGo program is a popular opportunity for our littlest netball players to develop their skills whilst having a heap of fun. And maybe one day they will choose to represent our Association at Netball Queensland’s State Age Championships, where in 2020 and 2021 our Association achieved NQ’s Champion Association Award.

We are very proud of the pathways we provide to our players and umpires – with SCNA alumni going on to represent our Association in the Suncoast Premier League, our region in State Titles, be selected in the Queensland and Australia 17U and 19U squads, play for Sunshine Coast Thunder in the HART Sapphire Series and ultimately, be contracted to an SSN team. Our umpires have also achieved wonderful results with a number of them attaining their National C and National B badges.
