As the Manager, Volunteer Program your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing a strategy for the TSAA volunteer program, including recruitment of volunteers within and outside of the TSAA membership-base, corporate volunteering and pro bono services.
  • Analysing the TSAA’s programs and activities to identify the skills required within the organisation, map them to volunteer roles, and develop an organisational structure to manage and supervise volunteers effectively.
  • Developing processes and strategies to recruit, onboard and manage volunteers.
  • Designing a volunteering section for the new TSAA website (currently in development).
  • Driving the recruitment process to fill the identified volunteer roles.

This role is an unpaid volunteer opportunity and can be worked around your lifestyle and existing commitments. This is a great opportunity for corporate or pro bono volunteering. This role can be worked remotely/online. There is also scope for it to be worked from our office in Randwick.

Essential qualities and skills for this role are:

  • A desire to help others and contribute to the growth and success of our organisation.
  • A high degree of professionalism and ability to work independently.
  • Experience developing and implementing people management strategies.
  • Experience with developing corporate volunteering or pro bono programs, sponsorships or other similar business development roles.
  • Excellent relationship building skills.

Desirable qualities and skills:

  • Good knowledge of operating in a non-profit or volunteer-related organisation.

About the TSAA

The TSAA is a volunteer run, membership-based charity, established by families and medical professionals who recognised the need for support and awareness in the community for those who have Tourette Syndrome (TS). We are the only organisation in Australia committed to supporting people effected by TS. Today we have hundreds of members throughout Australia. Our membership comprises people affected by TS, those who have TS, other support organisations, schools, educators, medical professionals and anyone with an interest in TS.
