Racial Justice Centre (RJC)

1. Who is the Racial Justice Centre

RJC is a not-for-profit community legal service. founded by lawyers with lived experiences. RJC’s purpose is to eliminate racism and racial injustice, using the legal system, education and reform. It is fighting for a world where all people can live, thrive and enjoy life without racism.

2. Duties Reporting to the Chair of the board, this role’s duties include, but are not limited to: • Providing strategic advice to influence the direction of the RJC • Helping to ensure that the RJC's work is aligned with First Nations priorities. • Representing the organisation at conferences and other events. • Serve on committees and task forces

3. Attributes

The ideal candidate must: • Be admitted to practice as a lawyer in an Australian jurisdiction. • Have a Director's ID, or can register for one.
