As a School Literacy Program Volunteer you will work with one or a small group of students, reading to them, or listening to them read for each other. Ideally you will share your love for reading with the students to encourage them to learn more and continue to develop their literacy skills. Your belief in the importance of education generally and interest in supporting the development of young people will make you an ideal candidate for this role. You will be in the classroom during the literacy program and teachers will be available to advise you as needed. Volunteers will be placed in classes for grades prep to three. You will be a part of a dedicated team working to guide young people towards a life-time of learning and opportunities. We are pleased to offer this role to people who wish to contribute at a local school and add capacity for individual learning in thee classroom.
We encourage applications from residents in the City of Yarra who are available in the morning.

The Richmond West Primary School is close to a number of public transport options. Let us know if you have any specific support/access needs.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
