Do you think you would enjoy looking after a hospital library and compile historical records of the hospital? If you do then the Southern Fleurieu Health Service, in Victor Harbor, might have the perfect volunteer position for you. They are currently looking for a volunteer to work alongside other volunteers and/or independently to collate historical documents for the preparation and production of the Southern Fleurieu Health Service (SFHS) Centenary 2029, formerly known as the South Coast District Hospital. The book is to be published for the Centenary 2029. The History and Library Volunteering group is a subcommittee of the SFHS Health Advisory Council (HAC). Duties include: • Maintain hospital library, including cataloging new publications • Maintain press cuttings relating to the hospital/health service • Maintain hospital archival collection of books, journals, magazines, medical equipment, and photographs • Compile historical record of the hospital.
