Meal Packer & Dispatcher

Caring Cuisine
Logo for Caring Cuisine

Caring Cuisine plays a vital role enabling older Australians to enjoy living independently in the familiar surroundings and comfort of their own home.

As a not-for-profit charity, in order to support our clients we rely on a large team of volunteers to deliver meals and conduct welfare checks. Chatting for a few minutes whilst delivering healthy fresh food helps cut through social isolation and provides peace of minds to clients and their loved ones.

As a Volunteer Meal Dispatcher you will attend our St Lucia service around 9am on weekdays to help the kitchen team pack meals for our delivery drivers to collect and deliver to clients. The main need is for 1 hour of work from 8am - 9am, however our kitchen is open from 6am until midday so if you would like to come earlier or stay later and help the kitchen with food preparation this is welcome too (though not required). You can volunteer for one or more particular day/s each week, month or fortnight, or on an ad-hoc basis – we are very flexible depending on your availability! On-the shift training is provided by our Volunteer Coordinator and other experienced volunteers.

To succeed in this rewarding role all you need is a friendly disposition to meet and greet fellow team members and our volunteer drivers!

To find out more about driving with Caring Cuisine submit an application now, or contact us by email at services@caringcuisine.org.au or on our Volunteer Hotline 0422 020 747.

We look forward to meeting you!
