DCN is a not-for-profit incorporated association run and managed by volunteers. Membership at $10 pa is a requirement for volunteering. Our main activities are Landcare, bush regeneration, propagation, sale of native species, edible and garden plants; gardening, seed saving and processing, project management and community education. Our newest project on site is a community garden and food forest.

Opening hours are 9am – 12:30, Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Key Duties

• Ensure our Work Health and safety Guidelines are being followed
• Induct new volunteers
• Manage First Aid Kits and PPE
• Gather monitor and record WH&S information about the Nursery and volunteers.
• Ensure incidents and accidents are handled in accordance with DCN procedures Relevant WHS experience is welcome but not essential, in-house training will be available. Good communication, record-keeping, empathy, and attention to detail are appropriate skills to bring to, or develop, in this role. The WHS Coordinator reports to the DCN Management Committee.
