About Your Role: The Loan Assistant Volunteer will be responsible for working alongside our clients to access no interest loans by reviewing new loan applications and following up with clients and partner agencies about incomplete applications.
Key Duties and Responsibilities of this role Your regular duties throughout an average day will involve: · Reviewing loan applications and following up incomplete applications to prepare for assessment by loan processor. · Provide aftercare support to clients, such as contacting clients to congratulate them on paying back their loan and seeking feedback. Depending on the workload and successful candidates for this volunteer role, you may be working alongside another volunteer, dividing the above tasks, or you may be working alone. You will always have access to and be supported by the WA NILS team. Key Timing and Requirements • This will be a medium-term role – we are looking for a minimum 3 – 6-month commitment due to the training involved. • We are looking for volunteers available to assist within regular working hours 9am-4.00pm Mondays to Friday. • Length of volunteer shifts are negotiable - half day or full day shifts are available. • Volunteers will need to be able to make their own way to and from Anglicare WA’s head office in East Perth.
