Our friendly team of Companion Volunteers engage with our residents living in aged care communities either one-to-one or in small group settings through a wide variety of activities. These wonderful volunteers enrich the quality of the life of our residents who may feel socially isolated or lonely - whether for social or cultural reasons or due to disability.

As part of our Companion Volunteer Program, we are looking for friendly people who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of our elderly residents by spending an hour per week or fortnight visiting and forming friendships.

In the role of a Companion Volunteer, you will be able to assist in ensuring residents remain actively engaged and inspired every day. Quality time shared can include having a chat, playing cards or board games, working on a hobby together or discussing the local news. You might like to take a walk, grab a cuppa, or enjoy some gardening together.

Aged Care Volunteers are not involved in providing clinical or personal care to the people they visit.

This role follows a COVID-19 safe work plan, and all volunteers must have received three COVID-19 vaccinations.
