Media Specialist Volunteer
The Australian Institute of International Affairs for WA Inc.What's the Role?
- Creating and maintaining relationships with local, regional, and national media outlets
- Pitching story ideas and event coverage to journalists, editors, and producers
- Collaborating with our team to develop press releases, media kits, and other promotional materials
- Identifying new media opportunities and strategizing innovative ways to promote our cause
- Monitoring and analysing media coverage to measure the success of our outreach efforts
What We're Looking For:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- A deep understanding of various media channels, including print, broadcast, and digital
- Experience in media relations, journalism, or public relations
- A passion for our cause and a commitment to making a positive impact in our community
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a can-do attitude
