Our school is a small NFP Montessori school based in Bassendean. We are currently seeking a volunteer to sit as an independent on our school board. Our terms of appointment are two years, with the option of stepping up into an executive position should any candidates have the appropriate background and experience.

The successful candidate should have:

• Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work in a team environment
• Have a valid WWC and Police Clearance, or have the capacity to attain them (all costs associated with attaining these documents will be covered by the school)
• Have a background in governance or education
• Have experience in strategic planning
• Have an interest in alternative streams of education and background knowledge of the Montessori method.

Candidates with experience in finance and/or risk management will be prioritised.
