Jeanette worked as a journalist for many years and has a great love of current affairs and world news. In recent years, Jeanette has had increasing difficulty with her eyesight which has impacted her ability to read and keep up to date with world affairs. Jeanette would love to be connected with a volunteer with shared interests to spend time together reading and sharing stimulating conversation. If you have an interest in supporting people 65+ to reconnect with their interests and community please apply!

We offer opportunities in skill and knowledge development, as well as ongoing support and mentoring. Good communications skills and the ability to work independently are a must. Having a driver’s licence/access to own vehicle is highly desired but not essential. We value diversity in lived experience, language, skills and abilities.
