If you would like to connect with older people who are socially isolated, we’d love to hear from you!

This volunteer role offers:

  • An opportunity to gain experience in the aged care sector

Brenda has always enjoyed the atmosphere and experience of visiting a café. Brenda worked as a barista for many years and has a great appreciation for all things caffeine! Following the pandemic, Brenda, like many, has struggled to leave her home and be in public places and crowds. Brenda would love to be connected with a coffee loving volunteer to accompany her on outings to local cafes to improve her confidence to get out and about again. If you have an interest in supporting people 65+ to reconnect with their interests and community please apply!

We offer opportunities in skill and knowledge development, as well as ongoing support and mentoring. Good communications skills and the ability to work independently are a must. Having a driver’s licence/access to own vehicle is highly desired but not essential. We value diversity in lived experience, language, skills and abilities.
