The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of Samarinda Ashburton Aged Services Inc. (SAAS)

We are looking for volunteers to join our fantastic team. Your vital assistance makes a difference to the lives of elderly residents living at Samarinda Residential Lodge in Ashburton.

Key tasks:

• Participate with clients in social activities at Samarinda Residential Lodge.
• Activities include Bingo, Tenpin bowling, Bocce, Reading to residents, Guided Walking tours, Singing group and escorting residents on short bus outings.

Key skills or experience:

• A strong commitment to working with older people
• "Can-do" attitude, some spare time on weekdays between 09:30 - 4:00pm (days and times are totally flexible) at Samarinda Residential Lodge.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
