As a Community Events Volunteer, you will be encouraged and supported to engage with community members to promote healthy lifestyles, and facilitating social connections. Events usually include catering, information giving in speeches and in writing, activities related to the specific topic and time for socializing. You may be collating and distributing resources in different languages, preparing and serving food, introducing attendees to relevant staff, assisting with set up and pack down of the venue and kitchen, and contributing to a welcoming environment. Ideally you will bring your friendly and good interpersonal skills to the role. This role will appeal to you particularly if you enjoy talking with others about a wide range of topics and bringing people together to share food and ideas.
