We are looking for a kind and caring female volunteer to become a Volunteer Visitor and provide friendship to a lonely lady living in Aged Care home in the Wellington Point area.

Visits may include sitting and chatting with the resident and/or taking a short walk outside together on the grounds of the aged care home. Our resident's interests include singing, indoor bowls, watching tennis, knitting and she especially loves dogs!

Regular fortnightly visits provide the resident with valuable friendship. Through this regular one-to-one visiting great friendships can be formed. These visits from a Volunteer Visitor can help to improve the quality of life of the older person and help them to feel less socially isolated.

Volunteering as a Volunteer Visitor can be a very rewarding experience. By becoming a friend to an older person, you can make a positive difference to their lives as well as your own.
