Bengali/Indian speaking Community Companion (Port Kennedy)

Silverchain (Mandurah)
Logo for Silverchain (Mandurah)

Do you speak Bengali or Indian? Silverchain is especially searching for a volunteer to visit our client and make their day a little brighter. Our client in the Waikiki area who loves all things art and history, who previously was an artist, is seeking a like-minded volunteer who speaks Bengali or Indian.

If you have good interpersonal skills and the ability to either visit for a social chat or even bring back the inspiration to start some new art projects, then this could be the volunteer role for you.

Your friendship and time will help improve quality of life and make a positive difference for our client to feel better and less lonely.

The Silverchain Community Companions Program aims to help seniors stay living in their homes longer by reducing isolation. Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can bring great joy to the client you are matched with. If you have 1-2 hours each week for 12 months or longer, we would be happy to discuss a suitable time to suit.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
