Vets and Vets Nurses needed to support the pets of homeless people
Pets in the Park DarlinghurstSupport your local community by ensuring the welfare of pets and their owners who experience homelessness. Pets in the Park's Darlinghurst Clinic provides free veterinary care to cats and dogs on the last Sunday of each month at a pop up clinic. Owners are referred to our clinic by local welfare organisations.
Volunteer Vets and Nurses are paired up to see pets to provide health checks, vaccinations, parasite control, assessment for surgeries, advice regarding desexing and responsible pet ownership. The Clinic has a Senior Vet who provides clinical oversight and support to volunteers at each clinic as well a Senior Nurse who manages clinical supplies.
The clinic has a full team of admin volunteers, who check clients into the clinic, manage paperwork, support the flow of clients into and out of the clinic along with food and other supplies for pets. The Clinic is also supported by a number of social workers who can provide additional support to clients.
