About the role  

The key purpose of this role is to provide publications distribution assistance to the Client Services Administrator to support the organisation in its vision of a cancer-free future.

Reporting to Cindy, Team Leader Client Services the volunteer position of Publications Distribution Assistant will: 

  • Assist with the physical picking and packing of resources for dispatch.
  • Assist with ordering stock from our warehouse using our computer system.
  • Entering addresses into a computer and printing documents to accompany orders.
  • General administration (eg photocopying) to support the despatch of resources.
  • Deliver parcels within the Woolloomooloo building, as required.

This role is one day a week or can be done two half days for 12 months with the potential to stay on longer based in our office in Woolloomooloo.   About You

  • Desire to learn and be trained in new processes.

  • High level of attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft programs including Word, Excel and Outlook and data entry skills.

  • A friendly phone manner and great communication skills.

  • The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team. Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in working in an office dispatch environment.

  • Experience in manual handling.
