A foster home is a bridge from a cat’s former life to their new life with a forever family. We are looking for foster carers who can open their homes to a fur friend until they are ready for adoption! People who are animal lovers and able to provide care and love to these cats are the foundation of being a foster carer.

All you need to be able to do is:

• Be in Melbourne, Victoria
• Provide food, litter and a home for your foster cat.
• If have other pets, have a spare room to quarantine for 14 days (only applicable to pound and straight off the street kitties!)
• Attend one of our affiliated veterinary clinics around Melbourne at your closest location for any vet work required.
• Able to drive (however not necessary as we have many volunteers who can support).
• Can provide short-term or long-term care for the cat.
• Some cats require special care such as medication administration (training and support provided!) - however require foster carer to be WFH or home majority of the time.
• Provide love and support to your foster cat to help them come out of their shell.
• Be open to hosting meet and greets with a potential adopter when the time comes.
