About the Program The ASRC Social Enterprises exist to create pathways to sustainable employment and financial independence for people seeking asylum. The ASRC currently operates two social enterprises - ASRC Catering and ASRC Cleaning. These enterprises provide people seeking asylum and refugees with training and work experience to develop new skills and regain autonomy and purpose.

Our Social Enterprises are in an exciting period of increasing impact through business growth. By scaling existing enterprises and exploring new market opportunities we aim to create more jobs and employment pathway opportunities for people seeking asylum and refugees living in the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Support staff making new dishes
• Support staff with learning new skills
• Working alongside staff to understand recipes
• Demonstrate techniques and advising on cooking procedures and presentation

Accountability This role reports to the ASRC Kitchen Manager.

What we’re looking for

• Chef qualifications (certificate required) and extensive experience in a kitchen environment
• Outstanding leadership skills with experience in staff supervision and training
• Strong understanding of HACCP food safety standards
• Ability to collaborate with diverse groups
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
