The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this opportunity on behalf of Melbourne East Disability Advocacy (MEDA).

Melbourne East Disability Advocacy (MEDA) is a community based organisation in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. MEDA protects and promotes the rights of people with intellectual disability through our Individual, Systemic and Volunteer Citizen Advocacy programs.

You will need to have an ability to attend monthly Committee of Management meetings and other fundraising events and activities. Majority of meetings are on-line.

Preference will be given to candidates who contribute to improving diversity of the Committee and those who can demonstrate:

• Knowledge of the disability services sector, including community environment
• Governance experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to the role, and be in a position to allocate time, capacity and enthusiasm to the position. Candidates must also be committed to making a difference to improving the lives and opportunities for people with disabilities.
