Organisation Description:

Soup Van is a program of the St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria.

The primary aim of the Soup Van Program is to offer food, social connection, and referral pathways out of homelessness and poverty, to people experiencing or at risk of homelessness or facing disadvantage.

Position Description: Preparing and packing food, assisting with loading the Soup Vans, distributing food on a ‘Soup Van Run’, driving the Vinnies van and assisting in cleaning up the kitchen and soup van vehicles in a team.

Time commitment: Prep: Tuesday & Thursday 4.30pm-6pm Delivery: Tuesday & Thursday 5.30pm-8pm One shift per week or more if available

Other requirements: • Please note: All Staff and Volunteers are required to complete a Police Check and Working with Children Check (WWCC). • Volunteers must complete their Soup Van Volunteer Registration Form to be considered for Volunteering opportunities. • All Volunteers are required to satisfactorily complete Food Safety training and obtain a statement of attainment for the Food Safety Certificate prior to commencing employment.
