Director of Fundraising

Migraine Australia

Migraine Australia is a national patient advocacy organisation to support all Australians living with migraine and their families. We are the voice of migraine in Australia.

Through advocacy, information, and support, and led by people living with migraine, our mission is to demonstrably improve the quality of life and wellbeing of all Australians living with migraine and their families and reduce the burden of migraine on both those directly affected and the broader community, through the prevention of migraine attacks, medication overuse headache, and other migraine-related conditions.

The Director of Fundraising's role is to coordinate the development and execution of fundraising campaigns and nurture communication for individual and corporate supporters to increase engagement and value over their lifetime

Key components of the role are:

Fundraising coordiation

  • Lead acquisition campaigns with the intent of acquiring new supporters
  • Coordinate, profile, develop, and implement tailored supporter journeys for acquisition and retention communications
  • Coordinate the implementation, tracking and measurement of fundraising campaigns
  • Brief, oversee, and implement the work of internal and external agencies, such as designers, copy writers and printers who will deliver much of the campaign activity
  • Ensure the organisation’s brand identity and tone is adhered to in campaigns and in all communication channels

Financial Coordination

  • Plan, monitor and adapt campaigns to achieve fundraising targets for each financial year
  • Reconciliation of income and expenses per campaign against targets and budgets set (working with Treasurer)
  • Use campaign analytics including segmentation to inform financial return on future and current projects

Organisational Coordination

  • Engage with key internal and external stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives
  • Representation at network and industry forums and meetings
  • Support broader organisation events/activities as managed by the wider team
