Video Editor Volunteer - WEA

WEA Adult Learning has been providing adult South Australians with affordable and accessible learning opportunities since 1913.

In 2023 WEA will be celebrating its 110th anniversary and we are planning a range of events and activations to highlight this amazing milestone.

One of our projects is a ‘Humans of WEA’ social media storytelling campaign.

We have raw footage from video interviews with people telling us about their WEA memories and experiences, and we are now looking for a volunteer video editor who can turn this raw footage into a series of short 1-to-2 minute MP4 videos.

This is a short-term project and we would love to hear from you if you have video editing experience.

This work can be completed remotely, using the software of your choice.

Training

We will provide an induction, with ongoing additional support from WEA staff.

Time required

The time commitment is flexible. Ideally the project will be completed within six weeks, or sooner if possible.

Requirements

*Please note: *It’s important that organisations continue to monitor and follow the advice and guidelines of both State or Territory, and Federal Governments in relation to the latest COVID-19 requirements. *As each organisation provides different levels/types of insurance, volunteers are reminded to check with the organisation as to the type of insurance provided for volunteers (e.g. Voluntary Workers Personal Accident Insurance). *Best practice volunteer involvement recommends that a volunteer role should not be more than 15-16 hours per week.
