Logo for Conservation Volunteers Australia

We are excited to invite you to celebrate International Women's Day and Women in Conservation at Moonah Park (River Parade, Barwon Heads, VIC) on March 31st, 2023, at 11:00am to 2:00pm. As a woman who cares about the environment, we would like to offer you the opportunity to join us for a day of exploration, learning, and creativity.

At the event, you will have the chance to:

  • Explore the Barwon River which leads into the significant Ramsar site of Lake Connewarre and learn about land care and its significance by women in leadership roles.
  • Create your own native seed bombs with Emma Grace, a sustainability expert, to take home and beautify your surroundings.
  • Participate in a bird survey and learn more about which local birdlife use the wetland.
  • Enjoy morning tea with other women who share your passion for the environment and conservation.

This event is a great opportunity to connect with other women and learn about sustainable practices that can help protect the environment.

We look forward to celebrating International Women's Day and Women in Conservation with you at Lake Connewarre!
