Volunteers provide highly valued contributions to ensuring our Residents’ days are interesting and in helping them maintain connections to community and involvement in life activities. Volunteers complement our programs with the richness of variety in talents, experiences and personalities they bring.

Activity Assistant volunteers support our Lifestyle Team in delivering events and activities which enhance the well-being of our Residents.

Current activities we are looking for support in are as follows:

-Men's group

-Musical entertainment

-Craft

-1:1 time with residents

• Be present and willing to support staff in preparing for, and running an activity
• Contribute relevant skills and talents that you're happy to share
• Assist staff in reminding Residents of an upcoming activity
• Proactively interact and share conversation with Residents during an activity
• Support Residents to attend an activity by providing mobility assistance pushing a Residents’ wheelchair to/from an activity location
