The young people participating in this program are matched with a trained and highly motivated Youth Mentor whose purpose is to support young people to focus on areas such as, aspirations, personal development and to support young people to remain in education, promote positive and healthy choices and reduce risks associated with anti-social behaviour and social isolation. The Youth Mentor is a part of the Education & Mentoring Team, reporting directly to the Education & Mentoring Coordinator. It is expected that the Youth Mentor will also work closely with other Sammy D Foundation staff and volunteers and professionally communicate with the organisation’s key stakeholders, clients, funding bodies and program partners.
